Charles Hutcheson II, son of Charles Hutcheson and Sarah Estes, was born in August 1763 in Amelia, VA. He lived in Amelia Co, VA in 1782. He owned on 11 December 1788 in Franklin Co., VA. Charles was on 8 August 1795 at Richland Baptist Church in Richland, TN. He owned on 17 June 1797 in Grainger Co., TN. He lived in Grainger Co, TN in 1799. Charles lived in Grainger Co, TN in 1800. He lived in Bledsoe Co, TN in 1815. He died on 17 August 1829 at the age of 66 in Cold Spring, Bledsoe, TN. Charles was buried at Worthington Cemetery in Big Spring, Bledsoe, TN. GRid=50122234 [Marcus Merged 7.FTW] 1. Charles II, along with his brothers Paul, Phillip and William, all left VA and appeared in the same neighborhood in Grainger Co. TN in 1797. 2. The marriages of the children of Charles II and Rebekah Skillman may be verified partially in "Grainger County Marriages 1796-1837" in the Lawson Mcghee Library, Knoxville, Tennessee. 3. Charles II, son of Sarah Estes Hutcheson, sold his part of this land after it had been cut into Franklin Co. on Dec. 11, 1788 to Paul Hutcheson, his brother, for 42 pounds -- 100 acres, in fork of Snow Creek "Where said Charles Hutcheson now lives" adj. Wm. Ryan, William Hutcheson and Robert Shearwood "peaceful possession given by Charles Hutcheson." Witnesses: James Brown, Peter Laswell, and Philip Hutcheson. On Mar. 13, 1787, William Hutcheson (Charles II's brother) sold to Philip Hutcheson (also Charles II's brother) land on the grassy fork of Snow Creek adjoining Paul Hutcheson et al. Sept. 20, 1792, Paul sold 100 acres on the grassy fork of Snow Creek "where Paul now lives". Sept. 18, 1792, Philip Hutcheson sold to George Spangler 106 acres in Franklin Co. on both sides grassy fork of Snow Creek. Then Charles II, Paul, Philip and William Hutcheson all appear in the same neighborhood in Grainger Co., Tennessee in 1797. - "Hutcheson Genealogy", Pg. 16. 4. Records of the Richland Baptist Church, Tennessee, show that Rebekah and Charles Hutcheson II united with that church between 1791-4: From the minutes of the Richland Baptist Church on the shelves of the McClung Room, Lawson McGhee Library, Knoxville, Tennessee. CHURCH BOOK OF RICHLAND BAPTIST CHURCH August 8th 1795 the Church met and after Prayer to God proceded to Business as follows: First, Brother Willingham Modr. Second, Bro. Harrison came and gave an ampel Satisfaction for not filling up his seat in the Church. Third, the followship of the Church tried and in union, Fourth, Received by letter, Charles and Rebeka Hutchison into our fellowship. Fifth, the query of private or public meeting referred until next meeting.
