William Hutcheson and Margaret "Peggy" Sigler were married on 20 July 1809. Margaret "Peggy" Sigler was born on 8 September 1793 in Tennessee. She died on 6 August 1878 at the age of 84 in Tarrant Co., TX. She was buried at Johnson Station Cemetery in Arlington, Tarrant, TX. Peggy lived in Texas.

1. After the death of her second husband, she went to TX.

2. Two documents prepared by the Sons of the American Revolution, the first undated and the amendment dated Oct. 27th, 1937,state that Margaret Sigler's first name was spelled "Margarette" rather than "Margaret". Also, the amendment says her death date was 1880, rather than 1878. Her headstone in Johnson Station Cemetery says 1878. See Scrapbook.
The author of the amendment certified that the information came from one of the old Bibles of the Hutcheson family, in fact, was recorded by a son of Margaret and William, one Charles Hutcheson, who with two other brothers, Issac LaFayette and Calvin Leonidus Hutcheson migrated from TN to TX in 1866; their mother (Margaret Sigler) who had lost her second husband Henry Gothen (my records have Henry Gocher) in 1863, came with them and settled at Alvorado, Texas. Margaret Sigler came to Johnson Station in Tarrant County with I. L. and Charles Hutcheson in 1870 and where she resided until her death in 1880 (?).

The documents mentioned in Note 2 were provided to me by Dede Hutcheson, wife of William Loyd Hutcheson, ggson of Charles Cyrus Hutcheson.

2. As a Confederate soldier, he took part in a number of Civil War battles. At the end of the lost cause, he released his slaves and prepared to move to Tex., a new section of the states considered to afford better prospects for future living. He moved to Alvarado, in Johnson Co., Tex., where he farmed 2 or 3 yrs. before selecting Johnson Station for a permanent home. He operated a small general store in Alvarado, which he also moved to Johnson St. in 1870. There, he built a home and store building. He acquired several hundred acres of good farming land, which he leased to tenants, in addition to running the store. In 1874, he, along with 6 other prominent land owners, organized Masonic Lodge No. 438, which was later moved to Arlington, Tex. While at Johnson St., the Lodge occupied the second floor over his store. While living at Johnson St., Mr. Hutcheson gave the land for the community's first church and school and a cemetery. Patrick Alford Watson had done the same a few years earlier in the Watson Community. - "Hutcheson Genealogy", Pg. 33. Also see Note 2, Margaret Sigler for additional verification.
