308. Sarah Hutcheson was born on 9 July 1803 in Grainger Co., TN. She died on 20 August 1876 at the age of 73 in Pikeville, Bledsoe, TN.

Sarah Hutcheson and Major James Lafayette Roberson Jr. were married on 12 July 1828 in Anderson Co., TN. Major James Lafayette Roberson Jr., son of William Roberson and Rhoda Sartain, was born on 11 November 1784 in Anderson Co., TN. He died on 31 July 1852 at the age of 67 in Bledsoe Co., TN. 1. Sarah was his second wife. First wife - Margaret Worthington.

2. James and Margaret had 11 children.

3. James was a large landowner in the Sequatchie Valley and represented Bledsoe and Marion Counties in the TN legislature in 1829 and 1830 - per "Hutcheson Genealogy", page 64.

4. Gave land for the erection of a church building.

Hester Ann Roberson was born on 22 October 1829 in Bledsoe Co., TN. She died on 15 August 1854 at the age of 24.

Martha Jane Roberson was born on 18 February 1832 in Bledsoe Co., TN. She died on 21 August 1871 at the age of 39.

Mary Rebecca Roberson was born on 22 April 1834 in Bledsoe Co., TN. She died on 31 January 1903 at the age of 68 in Dickens Co., TX.

Eliza Emeline Roberson was born on 8 September 1836 in Bledsoe Co., TN. She died on 29 December 1880 at the age of 44.

Hezekiah Charles Roberson was born on 12 October 1841 in Bledsoe Co., TN. He died on 28 December 1917 at the age of 76. He lived in Abilene, Taylor, TX. Hezekiah was buried at IOOF Cemetery in Abilene, Taylor, TX. [Marcus Merged 7.FTW]

1. Hezekiah served in the Confederate Army as a private in Company One, 13th Regiment, Tenn. Cavalry, C. S. A., enlisted September 15, 1862 in Bledsoe Co.,TN, was in battles of Franklin and Stone's River. His body servant, "Uncle Pete" Roberson, accompanied him all through the war. This faithful slave served four generations of the Roberson family - Per "Hutcheson Genealogy".
