197. Cornelius Skillman was born on 1 January 1771. He appeared in the census in 1850 in Hopewell, Mercer, NJ. In 1850 he was living with son, Abraham, and family. In 1850 he was a farmer in Hopewell, Mercer, NJ. Cornelius died on 12 January 1853 at the age of 82. He was buried at Skillman-Beekman Cemetery in Harlingen, Montgomery Twp., Somerset, NJ. Cornelius Skillman and Ida Stryker were married on 12 January 1800 in Sourland, Somerset, NJ. Ida Stryker, daughter of Abraham Stryker and Cornelia Beekman, was born on 25 January 1780. Dist Fam. of Amer.: b. Jan 25, 1778.
