1843. Lispenard S. Stewart was born on 20 November 1825 in Manhattan, New York, NY. He died on 29 December 1865 at the age of 40 in Manhattan, New York, NY. He was buried at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, Kings, NY. From SOA:
His father's name from both self and sister was legally dropped when the mother, a widow, m. Sept. 24, 1835, the Rev. Charles S. Stewart (second cousin), a missionary (1823-25) to the Sandwich Islands, and later, Chaplain U. S. N. This arrangement was for oneness of name in two sets of children in the home of the grandfather and of the parents. The second marriage had no issue.

Lispenard S. Stewart and Mary Horton were married on 16 November 1859 in Ancram, Columbia, NY. Mary Horton, daughter of John Horton and Abigail Humphrey, was born on 11 September 1840 in Esopus, Ulster, NY. She died in 1917 at the age of 77 in Roselle Park, Union, NJ.
