He served in the military from 1865 to 1866 in Confederate Army. He served for 14 months after which he spent 16 months with the govt. on a wagon train hauling supplies for the soldiers from Kansas City to Salt Lake City.
Bellingham Herald, 3/24/1934 In 1880 he was a farmer in Boone, Bates, MO. In 1920 Harry was a farmer in Sumas, Whatcom, WA. He appeared in the census in 1920 at 22 Front St. in Sumas, Whatcom, WA. He died on 22 March 1934 at the age of 81 in Sumas, Whatcom, WA. Harry was buried on 25 March 1934 at Family plot, Evergreen Cemetery in Everett, Snohomish, WA.

Grade: Private, Army SN: 3,266,415 He died on 6 November 1918 at the age of 22 in France. Killed in action in France in WW I. Lewis was buried at Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial in Romagne, France.
