Thomas Skillman and Catharine Onderdonk were married on 13 October 1816. Catharine Onderdonk, daughter of Joseph Gates Onderdonk and Dorothy Monfoort, was born on 18 September 1792. She died on 9 November 1868 at the age of 76. She was buried at Manhasset Dutch Reformed Church Yard in Manhasset, Nassau, NY.
