He died on 23 October 1871 at the age of 54 in Harlingen, Montgomery Twp., Somerset, NJ. He was also known as Covert? Koert, Kourt (SOA). Court was buried at Harlingen Dutch Reformed Church Cemetery in Belle Mead, Somerset, NJ.
