She was a retired East Baton Rouge Parish school teacher with many years service at Bernard Terrace. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, and 8 to religious services at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by four grandchildren, Mrs. Cliff Henry, Mrs. Felicie  Watson, Mrs. Ruth Ryan, and Charles Downs Jr.; a nephew, Emmitt Skillman; and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Marvin Clyde Butler; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Downs and Mrs. Lorraine Dawson; and three brothers. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
