Mr. Skillman was born in Trenton, NJ. He was a retired owner/operator of Charlotte Tire Co.
Survivors include sons, Mr. Van Skillman, of Lake Norman; Craig Skillman, of High Point, NC; daughters, Mrs. Kevin Roof; Mrs. Robin Stegall, both of Indian Trail, NC; brother, Mr. Joey Pullen of Fayetteville, NC; sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Decker, of Scranton, PA; Mrs. Roberta Revilla; Mrs. Margaret Oswell, both of Trenton, NJ; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

HIGH POINT -- Mrs. Edna Newby Skillman, 63, of 1810 W. Rotary Drive died Friday at N.C. Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Christ United Methodist Church, of  which she was a member. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
A native of Randolph County, she was a retired operator with Lorillard.
Surviving are son, Craig Skillman of High Point; sisters, Mrs. Reva Oldham  of Thomasville, Mrs. Pauline Bulla of Trinity, Mrs. LaRue Tolbert of High  Point; brothers, Garland Newby of Sophia, Donald Newby of Goldsboro; two  granddaughters.
The family will be at Sechrest Funeral Home 7-8:30 p.m. today, other times  at the residence of Craig Skillman, 1005 Shalamar Drive.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society of America or to Christ United Methodist Church.
