(Bass) Skillman, 95, of Anderson, peacefully went home to be with her Lord Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Alexandria Care Center. Nancy was born Aug. 14, 1915, in Plevna, Kan., to Clyde and Florence Ruth Bass. She came to Anderson from Oklahoma in 1953. She was a homemaker and worked at the snack bar at Eavey's Grocery for 10 years. Nancy attended East Side Church of God. Survivors include her two daughters, Patricia A. (Phil) Bunch and Nancy L. (Harvey) Riedel; son-in-law, Bill Russell, all of Anderson; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Cecil Skillman, who died Dec. 17, 1988; daughter, Betty Jean Russell; and two great-grandsons. Entombment will be in East Maplewood Cemetery. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the East Maplewood Cemetery Chapel officiated by the Rev. Bill Thompson of Lone Oak Wesleyan Church.
