195. Catherine Skillman was born on 30 July 1766. She died about 28 May 1850 at the age of 83. She was buried on 29 May 1850 in Millstone, Somerset, NJ. Her SOA Number is 15 viii. From SOA:
...m. Peter Voorhees, grandson of Peter (one of the first settlers of Blawenburg, N. J.) who was a son of Abm. Voorhees and wife (cousin) Leah Voorhees, grandchildren of Jan Steven V. Voorhees and Janet Kirshaw, all descending from the ancestral Voorhees, who, with wife and eight children came, April 16, 1660, in the Bontekoe from Drenthe, Holland, and settled at Amersfoort (Flatlands), L. I. Peter and Catharine joined by confession the Hillsborough (Millstone) Dutch Church (Ref.) in 1797. They had no children.

Catherine Skillman and Petrus "Peter" Voorhees were married. Petrus "Peter" Voorhees, son of Petrus Voorhees and Sarah Nevius, was born on 16 September 1758 in Blawenburg, Montgomery Twp., Somerset, NJ. He died on 16 July 1816 at the age of 57. He was buried at Hillsborough Ref. Church Cemetery in Millstone, Somerset, NJ. Tombstone inscription: "Blessed are the dead which do in the Lord from henceforth____said the spirit, that they may rest from the ___ and ___ follow them" He lived on his father's farm in Blawenburg.
