Mr Skillman had an important part in the Phila. passenger terminal improvement program, including the construction of the Pennsylvania Station at Thirtieth St. and downtown suburban stations and in the electrification of the railroad's eastern lines. He supervised construction of the new passenger terminal at Newark, N.J. and the Balto. tunnel improvements incident to completion of the electrification southward to Washington. Thomas served in the military in 1899 in Spanish-American War. He lived Civil Engineer at 3211 Summer Street in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA on 26 October 1904. He lived in Newark, Essex, NJ on 1 January 1920. His publications include A Century of Rail Development (Amazon, out of print) published by in 1931. Thomas lived in Ardmore, Delaware, PA on 15 August 1934. He died on 24 September 1939 at the age of 62 in Ardmore, Delaware, PA. He was buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Newark, Essex, NJ.
