915. Isaac Newton Skillman was born on 20 August 1838 in Hamilton Co., OH. He served in the military between 23 October 1861 and 9 January 1865 at Civil War. He enlisted as a Private on 23 Oct. 1861.
Enlisted in Co. A, 75th Reg. O. V. Inf.
Fought in Battles of Bull Run, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg and many others. He was taken prisoner twice - at Gettysburg and at Gainesville, Fla. He was imprisoned at Andersonville, escaped and spent three weeks wandering in the woods and swamps of Florida and Georgia before finding the Union lines at Jacksonville, Fla. in Dec. of 1864. Mustered out 9 Jan 1865 in Columbus, OH. He was living in 1907 in Mt. Healthy, Hamilton, OH. Isaac was living on 14 February 1919 at 37 N. hamilton Ave. in Mt. Healthy, Hamilton, OH. He died of arterio-sclerosis on 15 February 1919 at the age of 80 in Warren, Trumbull, OH. He was buried on 18 February 1919 at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, Hamilton, OH. Section 46, lot 63.

Isaac Newton Skillman and Harriet Davis "Hattie" Adams were married on 6 June 1867 in near Mt. Healthy, Hamilton, OH. They were married on 12 June 1867 in near Mt. Healthy, Hamilton, OH. Harriet Davis "Hattie" Adams, daughter of John Adams and Anna Weston, was born on 29 September 1848 in Hamilton, Butler, OH. She died of pneumonia on 15 November 1922 at the age of 74 at 37 N. Hamilton Ave. in Mt. Healthy, Hamilton, OH. She was buried on 17 November 1922 at Spring Grove Cemetery in Hamilton Co., OH. Section 46, lot 63.
