NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., May 8.- John C. Skillman, 68, and Mrs. Susan M. Miller, 71, were married this afternoon at the parsonage of the First Methodist Church, by the Rev. Dr. J. Morgan Read, the pastor. Skillman is a grandfather, and his bride a great-grandmother.

There was no opposition to the match by members of the two families. The couple were sweethearts in their youth, but drifted apart, and each married, In later life the two families were on terms of intimate friendship. Mr. Skillman's wife died a year ago, and Mr. Miller about the same time.

Because of the family disapproval there were no attendants at the wedding, and there was nobody at the station to see them off when the old couple started on their honeymoon trip. Susan M. Van Arsdale was born in July 1841 in New Brunswick, Middlesex, NJ.
