He died on 9 April 1927 at the age of 88 in Detroit, Wayne, MI. He was buried at Clinton Grove Cemetery in Clinton, Macomb, MI. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows since 1870 and also the Knights of the Maccabees. He was a Republican. Sgt.
