3676. Eva Garnett Skillman was born in 1877. She died in March 1961 at the age of 84. She was buried on 6 March 1961 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Georgetown, Washington, DC.

Eva Garnett Skillman and George Thorne were married in December 1902 in Washington, DC. The residence of Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Skillman was the scene of a pretty and attractive wedding last Monday evening, when their daughter, Miss Eva Garnett [Garrett] Skillman, and Mr. George Thorne were married by the Rev. Richard P. Williams, of Trinity Episcopal church, this city. The parlors and dining-room were beautifully decorated with Christmas greens and holly. The bride, a beautiful brunette, looked lovely in a simple gown of white crepe de chine elaborately decorated with handsome lace. Her veil of tulle was held in place with orange blossoms. The ceremony was followed by a reception at which a large number of friends were present. Mr. and Mrs. Thorne left late that night for a short trip North, after which they will go to their future home, Newport News. George Thorne was born about 1877. He died before 1977 at the age of 100.
