3675. Alice Middleton Skillman was born in 1875 in SE Washington, DC. She died on 5 November 1937 at the age of 62 in Takoma Park, Montgomery, MD. Committed suicide by hanging possibly due to the severe headaches in the lower part of the back of her head and neck with which she suffered for many years. Mrs. Alice Kennedy Rites Tomorrow -

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Skillman Kennedy, 62, 109 Carroll avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland, wife of J. Robie Kennedy, architect, who died Friday after a two-year illness, will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. A native of Washington, Mrs. Kennedy was the daughter of E.A. Skillman and Alice Middleton Skillman, old Washington family. Her grandfather Daniel Wesley Middleton, was chief clerk of the Supreme Court at about the time of the Civil War and served in the capacity for 30 years.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Kennedy is survived by three children, Mrs. Catherine K. Powell, Lynn S. and Virginia M. Kennedy. She was buried on 8 November 1937 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Washington, DC.

Alice Middleton Skillman and John Robie Kennedy Jr. were married on 14 May 1907 in Washington, DC. John Robie Kennedy Jr., son of John Robie Kennedy and Joanna McLester, was born on 25 January 1881 in Tuscaloosa, AL. He died on 2 August 1966 at the age of 85 in Washington, DC. He was an architect in U.S. government.
