In 1891 he was a Farming and Stock Raising. He lived in Springtown, Parker, TX in 1900. James lived at Justice Precinct 2 in Parker, TX in 1910. He died on 19 February 1918 at the age of 78 in Springtown, Parker, TX. He was buried about 21 February 1918 at Springtown, Cemetery in Springtown, Parker, TX. "After some years of farming in Tenn., James C. came to Tex., arriving in Tarrant Co. on the 6th of Nov., 1872, but after a year there, he returned to Tenn., although he came again to Tex. in Dec. 1878, this time locating in Parker Co., a mile and a half South of Springtown. After ten years, he sold his farm there and moved to the farm he had purchased in the meantime, a valuable tract of sixty acres adjoining the village, where he has ever since made his home and he also owns one hundred and ninety acres about one mile from Springtown. From 1884 until 1888, he was engaged in the grocery business in that village, and then for two years, he conducted a hardware and implement store in Weatherford selling that business then to his son, Marcellus Bouregard Hutcheson, and returning to the farm, and with the exception of this short period of commercial life, agriculture has been his life's occupation. Mr. Hutcheson was made a Master Mason in the Limestone Lodge at Georgetown, Tenn., in 1869 and he is now a member of the Eureka Lodge, No. 371, A.F. & A.M. and of the Springtown Lodge No. 75, R.A.M. Both he and his wife are members of the Methodist Church at Springtown." (This refers to his second wife.) 3. James and Harriett had 2 more children that died in infancy. They also had 38 grandchildren and 70 great grandchildren, 20 of whom were in the service in World War II. James farmed in TN until 1872, when they came to TX via covered wagon, and lived at Johnson Station, Tarrant Co., for one year and moved back to TN. In December 1877, they chartered an emigrant car and came to TX again and bought a farm 1 1/2 miles south of Springtown where they lived for 10 years, when he bought a farm adjoining Springtown. From 1884 to 1888 he conducted a grocery store in Springtown, then for 2 years he was a hardware merchant of Weatherford. He sold this business to his son, Marce B. and moved back to his farm at Springtown, farming and raising stock. He was a supporter and patron of Fronarbarger Schools. -

James Caswell Hutcheson and Harriet A. Runyon were married on 23 October 1860 in Hamilton Co., TN. Harriet A. Runyon was born on 20 November 1840 in Hamilton Co., TN. She lived at Precinct 2 in Parker, TX in 1880. She died on 4 December 1891 at the age of 51 in Springtown, Parker, TX. Harriet was buried at Springtown Cemetery in Springtown, Parker, TX.
