402. Catharine Skillman was born on 31 July 1800 in Loudoun Co., VA. She lived Oxford Precinct in Scott Co., KY in 1882. She died in 1883 at the age of 83. Her SOA Number is 83. From SOA:
...m. 1818, Joseph Allen of Loudoun Co., Va. (b. 1792; d. 1846, in Scott Co., Ky.), very likely one of the Allen family that came with her grandfather, John Skillman, from Somerset Co., N. J., to Virginia in 1769. (see No. 14)

Catharine Skillman and Joseph Allen were married on 12 November 1818 in Bourbon Co., KY. Joseph Allen, son of David Allen and Elizabeth Frances Wright, was born in 1792 in Loudoun Co., VA. He served in the military in 1812 in War of 1812. He died in 1846 at the age of 54 in Scott Co., KY. Came to Bourbon Co. in 1812. He moved to Scott Co. in 1824.
