10997. Edward Ellsworth Skillman was born on 22 April 1953 in Morristown, Morris, NJ. He died on 22 December 2012 at the age of 59 at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. Edward E. Skillman, 60, resident of Gouldsboro, died early Saturday morning in the Geisinger Community Medical Center , Scranton . His wife is the former Katherine Peloquin. The couple was married for 38 years.
Born in Morristown , N.J., the son of the late Elmer and Lucille (Brill) Skillman, he attended West Morris Regional High School in Chester, N.J. Until his retirement in 2010, he worked as an automobile transporter with the Teamsters Local 560, Union City N.J. He was very active in the Gouldsboro Area Foundation from the group’s inception. Ed was an avid outdoorsman and coached North Pocono Area youth Soccer and Softball.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter Stacey Ann Skillman, Colorado Springs, CO; a sister Nancy Badini and husband Jeffery, Kenvil, N.J.; a brother Robert Skillman and wife Bonnie, Jackson Twp., PA a nephew Thomas Renkel and wife Katrina, Mt. Cobb, who Ed and Kathy raised as a son.; several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

A Blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3 First Street , Spring Brook Twp., PA 18444.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. in the funeral home. He was an automobile transporter at Teamsters Local 560 in Union City, NJ.
