202. Abraham Beekman Skillman was born in 1766. He died on 21 March 1807 at the age of 41. Lingering illness of 3 years. His SOA Number is 16 iv. He was buried at Skillman-Beekman Cemetery in Harlingen, Montgomery Twp., Somerset, NJ. Tombstone:
In Christ alone we hope and trust
To rise in judgment with the just. Tombstone:

..."upper part of congregation;" was witness to a deed, given Dec. 14, 1803, by his father to Francis Feurt of Franklyn township, conveying 26 acres; d. March 1, 1807; had one son, Abm.,3 who d. an infant, and three daus., Mary, Gitty, and Ida, to whom their father's share in their grandfather's estate was devised, Gitty (Gitty Ann) m. Thomas Q. Skillman (her second cousin, son of Isaac) and with the mother all the family removed to the Miami Valley (near Cincinnati), about 1816. Mary d. young, unm., and Ida m, - Ten Eyck and lived near Indianapolis.

Abraham Beekman Skillman and Catharine Voorhees were married on 25 May 1791 in Harlingen, Montgomery Twp., Somerset, NJ. Married by Harlingen. Catharine Voorhees, daughter of Coert Voorhees and Ida Williamson, was born in May 1778 in Somerset Co., NJ. She was baptized on 17 May 1778. She died in 1865 at the age of 87. Catharine was also known as Charity. She was buried at Skillman-Beekman Burying Ground in Harlingen, Montgomery Twp., Somerset, NJ.
