199. John Beekman Skillman was born in 1752 in Harlingen, Montgomery Twp., Somerset, NJ. He died in 1812 at the age of 60 at Delaware River in Lambertville, Hunterdon, NJ. His SOA Number is 45. From SOA:
...known as John "B" to distinguish him from his cousin John "T," son of Thomas; farmer; long lived on Crow Hill (now Cottage Hill), Lambertville (anciently Coryells Ferry), N. J., removing there from Kingston, his father Benjamin's first home among his wife's people. A notable character.

John Beekman Skillman and Magdalena Veghte were married about 1783. Magdalena Veghte, daughter of Garret Veghte and Elizabeth Barkelow, was born on 2 July 1758 in Somerset, NJ.
