A company, based in Owensboro, KY, corporation was filed in 1937, now
listed as inactive. Principals are C. William Wells, Catherine J.
Skillman RN: 115577 and Small K. Skillman, RN: 115580 Degree List: this file lists those in my file, of 41,207 people, with a degree from a university or college, a total of 308 people, including 167 Skillmans. The earliest appears to be William Livingston, RN 3624, with an A.B. in 1741 from Yale. The next earliest was a Skillman, Isaac, RN 54, with a B.S. in 1766 from Princeton. My alma mater, Lehigh, has 15 degree holders, including 7 Skillmans. Rutgers has 11 with 7 Skillmans, too. Missing
from the Degree List is William Jones Skillman, the genealogist who
authored "Skillmans of America and their Kin" He Graduated from Rutgers
University in 1830 but I can't find what his degree was titled, most
likely B.A. Lehigh's
yearly tuition for full-time students is now $57,000 compared to $600
when I began in 1948, just married, supported in part by

The Photo shows the edge of the show with rolling fields and trees in
Skillman in the background. While details and more photos will follow in
the coming weeks, I had a wonderful day Saturday at this show! I made a
few extra stops around Skillman New Jersey as time permitted. The
facility at Hunter Farms North is spectacular, with many show jumping
and practice rings (at least six). Riding activity in all of them at the

frequency of the first given name for all 6070 Skillmans. I have
listed only names with frequency 20 or above for both male and female.
For Males, John is in first place with 182 but William is a close
second at 166. Female winner is Mary at 170, followed by my
grandaughter's name, Sarah. Rebecca S. "Becky" Skillman (born September 26, 1950 in Bedford, Indiana) served as the 49th Lieutenant Governor of the State of Indiana, from 2005 to 2013. She is a member of the Republican Party. She was sworn in on January 10, 2005. Her husband, Stephen, is an 8th great grandson of Thomas. Here is a clip of her while she was LG. News about a rear-end train collision that occurred at the Skillman station in 1893 where my grandfather was the station agent. Click here HELL-DEVIL SKILLMAN: No, not me, but probably Arthur Augustus Skillman
(#6411), born 10/23/1882, who lived in Princeton, NJ in the early 20th
century and owned an express company. The New York Times of 11/6/1915 reported that
Hell-Devil Skillman had predicted the score of the Princeton-Harvard
football game as Princeton 12, Harvard 7. Unfortunately, the score was
a loss for Princeton, 6-10. Earlier "The Bookman" reported in
1911 that he was known as an ancient prophet and correctly predicted
the score of another game. No relation to the Hell-Devil Skillman, many people claim to have sighted the Jersey Devil. or another site. Let me know if you have come across this entity. The
New Jersey Star-Ledger on NJ.com wrote a nice piece on Thomas Skillman, my 1st
cousin, once removed, who lived in
Skillman most of his life and died April 22, 2012 at 100.5 years. His
last surviving sibling, A. Dix Skillman died Dec. 22, 2012 at
96.25. Ancestry.com has a page that shows the distribution of a surname in the U.S. in the 1920 Census. Click here to view the Skillman page. It lists a total of 554 Skillman families. nationwide. I am currently updating my Skillman file with FAG's data. My grandparents,
William N. and Adeline L. Skillman are buried in Blawenburg Cemetery,
Blawenburg, NJ, along with three of their five children. I recently finished matching FAG's 646 New Jersey burials
with the Skillman tree and found 550 matches, or 85%. The Political Graveyard: Currently (5/2012) lists 9 Skillmans with political connections. I can't vouch for the usefullness of the following links because I
haven't used most of them since I got started years before they were
available. Here is the home page for RootsMagic, my genealogy program. I prefer it to the very popular Family Tree Maker because it tracks the Record Number which is discussed on the Online Trees page. Besides, I have been using it since it began as Parson Technology's Family Origins about 1991, both created by Bruce Buzbee. The latest version 7.0.4.0 has many improvements. I got started in genealogy when a cousin gave me a copy of the genealogy program, Brother's Keeper created by John Steed, available today in version 7.0, and a file of Skillmans. It also tracks Record Numbers. Here's a site that evaluates a number of genealogy programs. RootsMagic is ranked about 4th, but I wouldn't think of changing after so many years with RM and its predecessor Family Origins. Here's a site about starting

the TI-59. Henry Skillman Breckinridge: although not actually a Skillman, he was named for his neighbor. Although famous for other reasons, he was a fencer; a member of the 1912 and 1928 Olympic fencing teams and a Bronze medal winner in the team foil event in the 1920 Olympics. Melanie Soltysik Skillman #8226 was an archer in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, Korea. Her team won a Bronze medal. Sadly, only one woman, MacKenzie Brown, quaified in archery for the 2016 Olympics in Rio. I cannot find any other Skillman in Olympics. N.J. I was born in Lakehurst, N.J., as a toddler my mother frequently took me to Lake Horicon in my stroller, while Dad was employed at the U.S. Naval Air Station. Naval

Maxfield Field,
a part of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst was the reason my parents
lived in Lakehurst where I was born in their garage apartment on Jan.
22, 1928. Its name is an amalgamation of its location and
the last name of Commander Louis H. Maxfield, who lost his life when
the R-38/USN ZR-2 airship crashed during flight on 24 August 1921 near
Hull, England. In
August, 1946, a
commercial airliner crashed near Lakehurst airfield, killing three,
including Ray Kreidler, a Westinghouse superintendent and injuring
three. In May, 1959, a Navy blimp crashed into #1 Hangar while attempting to land in a dense fog, one killed, six injured. The Pine Tree Inn in Lakehurst (1897-1973) attracted tourists. My step-grandfather, Eli Wager, was the chef there in the 1930s. His daughter, Ethelyn (Peg), also worked at Lakehurst when my parents worked there, was my father's second wife. Skillman
