Surnames: Schoonover, Skillman,Grovenberg, Casselman, Payne, Crummel. No known children between Edwin Skillman and Ida (Schoonover) Skillman. You will find several marriage and death records in this reply that were recently uncovered by a researcher in the Kalamazoo County Clerk's office. For some reason Edwin's first wife was recorded as Lydia Sherman???
Ida was first married to Elias Grovenberg, and later to Edwin Skillman.

1880 Census clearly shows spelling of surname to be Grovenberg. Census records Elias (30), Ida (17), and Henry (9months) living in Brady Township on 2 June 1880. Same census page also shows her father Henry Schoonover (59), Henriette (43), Marthia R. (13), and Jennie S.(11). Henry was born in New Jersey, Henriette born in New York, and Marthia and Jennie born in Michigan.
