Katherine Uluwehi Skillman 71, died Monday, September 5, 2005 at Community East Hospital. Kathy was the daughter of Mitchell and Katherine Watson and resided in Huelo Haiku (located on Maui) in the Hawaiian Islands. Kathy graduated in 1952 from Maui High School and in December of that same year enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. Kathy was one of only 3 Valley Island girls to complete the training and become U.S. Marines at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. After the service Kathy worked for 30 years at Community Hospital where she retired. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 8 at Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, 5377 E. Wash. St. with visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kathy is survived by her son, Ed and five daughters; Debra, Brenda, Barbara, Diana and Darlene and their families.
