She was a member at First Presbyterian Church in Hopewell, Mercer, NJ. Elsie Marion Skillman and Richard E. "Dick" Reed lived at 60 North Greenwood Avenue in Hopewell, Mercer, NJ after 27 April 1927. According to their marriage write-up, they first lived at 60 N. Greenwood Ave., which to the north became the Hopewell Wertsville Rd. My first memories of them was when they were living on the 2nd floor of her parents house at 23 Hart Ave. When I visited I slept in the tower bedroom on the 2nd floor. Later, Dick built a house on the N. side of the road to Blawenburg. He helped me fly kites there. Then he built a house on E. Prospect St. Later a larger house further east on same street. When I visited with my parents, Dick let me learn to drive by lending me his pickup truck. David usually accompanied me. When Elsie died she was laid out in that house. When Elsie was sick with cancer, Anne and I frequently visited her in Pennington hospital on weekends while we lived near Allentown, PA.
