Mr. Skillman a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina came here three years ago from Hillcrest Heights, Maryland. He was owner of Bermuda Villas-on-the-Ocean until his retirement in January, 1975. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Skillman, Daytona Beach; two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Dove, Waldorf, Maryland; and Mrs. Linda Church, Daytona Beach; one brother, Maurice Skillman, Dunkirk, Maryland; three sisters; Mrs. Yettie Jordan, Punta Gorda, Florida; Mrs. Mildred Hunt and Mrs. Virginia Wilson, both of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; and two grandsons. Haight-Black Funeral Home, Daytona Beach, is in charge of arrangements. James had Social Security Number 577-24-9420 DC.

James Preston Skillman and Helen Virginia Williams were married on 12 March 1945 in Washington, DC. Helen Virginia Williams was born on 20 December 1925. She was buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Daytona Beach, Volusia, FL. She was also known as Helen Virginia Smith.
