SARAH FISHER

Mrs. Sarah Fisher, wife of John W. Fisher, died at the family home in Richland township, northeast of Peru, at 6:13 o'clock Wednesday morning after a period of invalidism of about six years with paralysis. She was born in Peru on Sept. 3, 1848, daughter of Thomas and Maria (Kunkle) Skillman, and lived in the county her entire life. She was in her seventy-fourth year when death called her. She was married to her surviving husband in October, 1866, and to this union there were born five surviving children, three sons and two daughters, who are Otto L. Fisher and John A. Fisher, residents of Miami county, and Albert M. Fisher of Atlanta, Ga. And Mrs. Louis Fouts and Emma L. Fisher, also of this county.

The funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Church of the Brethren at Mexico, of which organization she was a member and Rev. Frank Fisher had charge of the services. Interment took place in Greenlawn cemetery. She was buried at Greenlawn Cemetery in Mexico, Miami Co, IN.

Sarah A. Skillman and John W. Fisher were married on 4 October 1866 in Miami Co., IN. John W. Fisher was born on 16 May 1844 in Richland, Miami, IN. He died on 10 March 1935 at the age of 90 in Richland, Miami, IN.
