136. Skillman Doughty was born on 17 October 1755 in Basking Ridge, Somerset, NJ. He served in the military in 1776 in Revolutionary War. He served as Private in the Somerset Co., NJ militia, under Capt. Jacob Ten Eyck.

In the Rev. War he was in a Militia Regt. of Somerset Co., and also artificer in the Quart. Mast. Gen's Dept. He died in 1840 at the age of 85 in Romulus, Seneca, NY. His SOA Number is 11 ii. From SOA:

Skillman Doughty and Hannah Hayden were married in 1781 in Basking Ridge, Somerset, NJ. Hannah Hayden was born on 4 December 1762. She died in 1840 at the age of 78.
