8836. Ronald Carlyle Skillman was born on 15 July 1934 in Sandusky, Perkins, Erie, OH. He died after a lengthy illness on 10 April 2014 at the age of 79 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Perkins, Erie, OH. Ronald C. Skillman, 79, of Sandusky and most recently of Ohio Veterans Home died early Thursday morning, April 10, 2014, in Firelands Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born July 15, 1934, in Sandusky and was a 1953 graduate of Sandusky High School and a Navy veteran. Ron was employed for 30 years at Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1995. 
He was an active member of First Christian Church, Sandusky, where he had served as a deacon and elder. He was also a member of U.A.W. Local Union 1216, Commodore Denig Post 83 of the American Legion, AMVETS Post 17 and the Senior Mens Fellowship Club. He enjoyed family, sports and reading among other pursuits.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Magalene "Maggie" (Fannin); one son, Keith (Jenny) Skillman, of Lawrence, Kan.; two grandchildren, Ben and Elliot Skillman; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kevin H. Skillman, in 1979; his parents, George and Florence (Patton) Skillman; and one brother, Robert W. Skillman.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. Monday, April 14, until a funeral service at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church, 3410 Hayes Ave., Sandusky. Pastor Don Spurlock will officiate.Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, where the American Legion Color Guard will provide Military Rites.

Kevin Harry Skillman was born on 6 April 1964. He died in an automobile accident on 4 October 1979 at the age of 15. Kevin Skillman

Kevin H. Skillman, 15, 905 E. Strub Road, Sandusky, was killed Thursday in a one-car accident of West Strub Road, Sandusky.

He was a sophomore at Perkins High School and had been vice president of his freshman class. He was a member of the cross country team, freshman basketball and track teams and Perkins High School Choir.

He was a member of the First Christian Church, Sandusky, high school Sunday School class of the church, youth group of the church, and was a junior deacon. Killed in automobile accident at 15 or 16.
