11481. Denise Lynn Skillman was born on 22 January 1956 in Los Angeles Co., CA. She died on 10 September 2009 at the age of 53 in Gig Harbor, Pierce, WA. Denise Skillman Weyrick
Went to be with Jesus on September 10th, 2009. Her kindness came from her quietness. Her gentle nature came from her Lord. We will celebrate the love and boundaries she shared with us on Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 at 2pm in the First Presbyterian Sanctuary on Tacoma Ave and Division, where she was married to Robert Weyrick in 1980.
Her family will miss her as we ask God for help. God rushes to those in need. His kind care was around Denise as she peacefully entered His presence. Her endearing spirit, sense of humor, and endless work ethic live on through her family, who deeply loved and appreciated her. Denise raised two sons, Jesse and Jordan Weyrick, and was a devoted homemaker. She found great joy in spending time with her two sons and husband Robert, whom she loved very much. Denise worked with animal adoption and rescue. She helped her husband care for broken and needy people in the city through Network Tacoma, a nonprofit ministry they started in 1990.
Denise worked part-time transporting handicapped and disabled people around the city with grace. She loved her job. She is joining her Dad, David Skillman, and many loved ones in Heaven.
She leaves behind her mom, Doris Janell Skillman, and her two sisters, Lanelle Enger and Deb Skillman, as well as all of their family members and her grandson Koen. Following memorial services at First Presbyterian there will be a graveside service at Haven of Rest for family and close friends. Then there will be a celebration and remembrance meal at the Gig Harbor Eagles club. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Denise to Network Tacoma, PO Box 323, Tacoma, WA 98401.
