Doris was an administrative assistant to the registrar at Onondaga Community College for 16 years, where she received her associate's degree and retired in 1987. She was an active member and elder at Onondaga Hill Presbyterian Church, where she served as the church financial secretary for 10 years and was involved in many activities. Doris was active in the Onondaga Hill Players since 1959, other activities, backstage work, past president, current vice president for the past 25 years, and co-producer with her husband, John, for the current Dinner Theatre. She loved cross- country skiing, traveling extensively in Europe and the Colorado Rockies, and took many cruises. She loved playing the piano and gardening. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, John S. Skillman; a son, John G. Skillman; a daughter, Sarah R. Skillman Snider; three grandchildren, Courtney, Jared and Brady; a niece, Diane Hoffman; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Friends may call 1 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Butler-Badman Funeral Home, Inc., 4504 W. Seneca Tpk., with a service to follow at 4 p.m. at Onondaga Hill Presbyterian Church, 4797 Makyes Rd.
