Eupha Elvira Williams, daughter of William Singleton Milton Williams and Florence Riddle, was born on 28 August 1925 in Lubbock, Lubbock, TX. She died on 11 August 2005 at the age of 79 at at her residence in Lubbock, Lubbock, TX. Eupha Skillman

Eupha E. Skillman (left), 79, died Aug. 11 in Lubbock, Texas. She taught at Freed-Hardeman University, Henderson, Tenn., where she instituted a four-year program in home economics. Skillman taught at Lubbock Christian University from 1976-82, where she implemented a similar program and served as head of the home economics department.
Survivors include her husband, Billy, a daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister.

Services for Eupha E. Skillman, 79, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m.today at W. W. Rix Chapel. Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Skillman died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005 at her residence. She was born Aug. 28, 1925 in Lubbock and graduated from Harding University in Searcy, Ark. Eupha married Billy G. Skillman on June 8,1951 in Searcy. She was the first person to receive both a Master's degree in Home Economics from Central Michigan University and the Specialist degree in Family Life Education from Michigan State University. She was a member of the West Texas Native American Association, South Plains Iris Society and the Sunset Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Billy G. Skillman; a daughter,Deborah Arnold and husband Larry of Kansas City, Mo.; two sons,Milton Skillman and wife L.J. of Mt. Vernon and Mitchell Skillman and wife Sally of Lubbock; seven grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren;and a sister, Ann Howell of Judsonia, Ark. She was a member at Sunset Church of Christ. She is descended from Cherokee Indians.
