Rose Marie (DiNardo) Skillman of Scituate passed away on May 25, 2011, at the age of 81. Loving wife of 53 years to Harry E. Skillman. Devoted mother of William T. Skillman of Houston, TX, Douglas E. Skillman of Lutz, FL and Pamela M. Norton of Scituate. Sister of Eleanor Degnan of Chesapeake, VA and James J. DiNardo of Virginia Beach, VA. Also survived by eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Rose Marie was born in Kearny, NJ, a daughter of the late James J. DiNardo and Sabina (Centrella) DiNardo and resided in Harrison, NJ. She attended Seton Hall University and was employed by The Prudential Ins. Co. prior to her marriage. She and her husband lived in Harrison and Somerville, NJ prior to their move to Scituate, MA in 1973. Mrs. Skillman was a member of St. Francis Xavier Cabrini in Scituate and recently of St. Anthonys Church in Cohasset. She was a long time member of the Scituate Health Service. Friends and family were invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, May 30 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. in the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd., Scituate. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, May 31 in St. Anthonys Church, Cohasset at 10 a.m. Interment to be private.
