3830. Frank William Hunter died in an auto chase while on duty on 21 August 1927 at Holtville highway in San Diego Co., CA. Officer Frank Hunter was killed in a motorcycle accident while attempting to stop a speeder on the Holtville Highway, near the Alamo River Bridge. As he rounded a curve on the roadway his motorcycle went out of control, crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic, and struck an oncoming vehicle.

He was transported to Holtville Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries several hours later.

Wednesday, John M. McAnaney and Mary Buffmeyer, both of Wooster, were married last evening by Reverend Dr. H.L. Wiles at the latter's residence in this city. Also today noon Frank W. Hunter, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Miss Carrie Ross, daughter of James Ross, of Lucas, were married at the same place by the same minister. She died on 29 March 1944 at the age of 76 at 21 Lamberton Avenue in Mansfield, Richland, OH. She was buried on 1 April 1944.
