She died hypostatic pneumonia on 2 June 1917 at the age of 44 at St. Joseph's Infirmary in Louisville, Jefferson, KY. Contributory cause of death was spontaneous fracture of the thigh 4 mos and 6 days before death. She was buried at Cloverport Cemetery in Cloverport, Breckinridge, KY.
