2627. Samuel D. Skillman was born in January 1869 in Whitehouse Station, Hunterdon, NJ. He lived in Readington, Hunterdon, NJ in 1900. He was elected as Sheriff between 1921 and 1924 in Huntingdon Valley, Montgomery, PA. Samuel died on 12 May 1929 at the age of 60 in Whitehouse Station, Hunterdon, NJ. From obit in New York Times 5/14/1929: "...died suddenly while seated at the dinner table yesterday. Death was due to heart disease." He was buried at Rural Hill Cemetery in Whitehouse, Hunterdon, NJ. Succeeded to father's business at White House

Samuel D. Skillman and Margaret A. "Maggie" Davis were married on 25 November 1890 in Voorhees, Hunterdon, NJ. Margaret A. "Maggie" Davis was born in January 1872 in New Jersey. She appeared in the census in 1930 in Readington, Hunterdon, NJ. In the 1930 Census, son John B. was living with Margaret. She died in 1942 at the age of 70. Maggie was buried at Rural Hill Cemetery in Whitehouse, Hunterdon, NJ.

He was educated The student recitalist, organ music. in 1940 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA. John died in 1943 at the age of 39. He was buried at Rural Hill Cemetery in Whitehouse, Hunterdon, NJ.
