2407. Peter B. Skillman was born on 9 July 1882 in Hamilton, Butler, OH. He died on 25 October 1918 at the age of 36 in Springfield, St. Joseph's Sangamon, IL. Obit in Indianapolis Star Journal, Sat 10/26/1918, Indianapolis Star, Sunday, 10/27/1918.

"Mystery surrounds the death of Peter B. Skillman of Indianapolis, an extra conductor of a C I. & W. freight train, who was found dead at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon on the floor of a caboose in the local yards. ...The freight train was on a siding and no other members of the crew had been to the caboose for some time."

He was known to suffer from epilepsy and may have sustained a fatal injury when falling during an epileptic seizure. On 25 October 1918 he was a Conductor, residence, Indianapolis, Indiana. in Springfield, St. Joseph's Sangamon, IL. Peter was buried on 28 October 1918 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN. Section 59, Lot 482.

Peter B. Skillman and Bessie May Zahn were married on 22 August 1900 in Marion Co., IN. Bessie May Zahn was born on 28 January 1882 in Indianapolis, IN. She died on 5 May 1924 at the age of 42. Obit in Indianapolis Star, 5/6/1924. She was buried on 7 May 1924 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
