Skillman of Indianapolis, an extra conductor of a C I. & W. freight train, who was found dead at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon on the floor of a caboose in the local yards. ...The freight train was on a siding and no other members of the crew had been to the caboose for some time." He was known to suffer from epilepsy and may have sustained a fatal injury when falling during an epileptic seizure.
