Edward Leroy Skillman was born on 17 January 1911 in New Jersey. Edward was adopted and raised by the Skillmans. Nicholas and Ellen Skillman did not have any children, though Nicholas had two with his second wife Violet. Edward's biological mother was Minnie Strouse, my great-grandmother who is also buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery with her husband Samuel Fox Cochran.
