Jacob Ten Broeck Skillman and Louisa Harriet Edgett were married in 1853. Louisa Harriet Edgett, daughter of Peter Edgett and Lucy B. Adams, was born on 13 December 1832. She died on 14 March 1919 at the age of 86. She was buried at Romeo Cemetery in Romeo, Macomb, MI.
