1480. Jacob Van Dyke Skillman was born in 1825 in Princeton, Mercer, NJ. He died on 14 August 1873 at the age of 48 in Carlyle, Clinton, IL. He was buried on 16 August 1873 at Bellafontaine Cemetery in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO. Jacob was a Farmer in Carlyle, Clinton, IL. During the Civil War he and wife (no children) lived in St. Louis; she was from Baltimore. The widow returned to St. Louis.

Elizabeth A. Osborn was born in March 1826 in Baltimore (Independent City), Baltimore, MD. She was born in 1835 in Baltimore (Independent City), Baltimore, MD. She appeared in the census in 1880 in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO. Elizabeth A. Skillman, age 45 widow, born in Maryland, parents born in Maryland. Running a boarding house. Several families living with her including four nephews: Louis Van Dyke Perret, age 25 (Hardware merchant); Charles Augustus Perret, age 24; Edward K. Perret, age 22 (Grocer); and William Barnes, age 18. Mrs. Augustus L. Perret (Martha); first wife was her sister and the mother of three Perret children. After her death bt. 1860-1870 Mr. Perret married Mrs. Katie R. Hermandez and in 1872 had a son, Clay W. Perrett.

Augustus L. Perret, age 35 (1860) born in New York; parents born in New York; was a steam-boat agent; his wife, Martha, age 30; the family consisted of: Louis V.D., Charles Augustus and Edward K. In 1899 Louis V.D. Perret married Miss Julia Scott; and Augustus C. (Charles Augustus) married Miss Mary Ellen [Ella] Holloway; they were the parents of four sons: Wyman M., Frank L., Whitney M., and Maynard M. Elizabeth died on 21 July 1909 at the age of 83 in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO. FIELDS, Enterned into rest on Wednesday, July 21, at 8:30 p.m., Elizabeth Fields (nee Osborn), beloved aunt of the late Louis Parret (Perret, sp) and Mrs. A. Warnhoff, after a longering illness. Funeral from undertaking parlors of Henry Liedner, 1417 North Market street, saturday, July 24, 1909, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited to attend. She was buried on 24 July 1909 at Bellafontaine Cemetery in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO.
