1423. William Henry Skillman was born on 29 November 1820 in Pennington, Mercer, NJ. In 1870 he was a farmer in Harlingen, Montgomery Twp., Somerset, NJ. In 1880 he was a farmer in Rocky Hill, Montgomery Twp., Somerset, NJ. William died before 1920 at the age of 100.

William Henry Skillman and Rhoda Holcombe were married on 1 May 1844. They appeared in the census in 1860 in Lambertville, Hunterdon, NJ. They appeared in the census in 1870 in Harlingen, Montgomery Twp., Somerset, NJ. William and Rhoda appeared in the census in 1880 in Rocky Hill, Montgomery Twp., Somerset, NJ. Rhoda Holcombe, daughter of Thomas Augustus Holcombe and Mary Quick, was born on 10 December 1821 in New Jersey. She died on 2 February 1882 at the age of 60 in Princeton, Mercer, NJ. Mrs. Rhoda Skillman, wife of William H. Skillman, a well-to-do farmer on Rocky Hill, was stricken with her first attack of paralysis while transacting some business at the Princeton Savings bank. She was kindly cared for at the residence of Mr. William E. Burke, where she lay in an unconscious condition since Monday last, till Thursday morning when she breathed her last. Mrs. Skillman was about sixty years of age.
