9438. Herman Edward Skillman was born on 12 September 1919 in Edgewood, Harford, MD. He died on 7 January 1995 at the age of 75 at St. Joseph Hospital in Baltimore (Independent City), Baltimore, MD. Obit in The Aegis, 1/11/1995. He was buried at Highview Mem. Gardens in Fallston, Harford, MD. Herman served in the military WW II in U.S. Marines. He was a life member and past commander of American Legion Post 39. He had Social Security Number 213-12-8543. He was a lineman for C&P Telephone Co. in Maryland. He was a charter-life member and past president of Joppa Magnolia Fire Co., he served as captain, vice president and several years on the board. He retired after serving 30 years with the company.
In 1990, he was inducted into the Harford-Cecil Volunteer Firemen's Hall of Fame.
