590. William R. Skillman was born on 3 May 1814. In 1860 he was a carpenter in Pilot Grove Twp., Hancock, IL. He died in 1888 at the age of 74. William was a Wagon maker in Kingston, Somerset, NJ. His SOA Number is 144. SOA: "...removed to Sangamon Co., Ill, 1838, to Chicago, and to Fairview, Fulton Co., 1862."

William R. Skillman and Eliza Ann Robertson/Robison were married on 11 November 1835 in Kingston, Somerset, NJ. They appeared in the census in 1860 in Pilot Grove Twp., Hancock, IL. The 1860 Census clearly shows his name as Joseph. The children's names and birth dates of the Census match the children of #144, William R. Skillman in SOA. But the Census gives his age as 40, so he was born about 1820, but SOA says born 3 May, 1814. Eliza Ann Robertson/Robison was born in 1814. She died in 1892 at the age of 78.

1914	i.	Joseph Skillman was born on 15 January 1842 in Sangamon Co., IL. In 1860 he was a farm laborer in Pilot Grove Twp., Hancock, IL. He died in 1863 at the age of 21 at a hospital in Maryland. Joseph served in the military in 1863 at Comp. H, 14th Ill. V. C. in Peoria,IL.

1918	v.	William Robertson/Robison Skillman was born on 16 May 1857 in Fairview, Fulton, IL. He was living in 1907 in Fairview, Fulton, IL. He died before 1957 at the age of 100.
