9155. Violet June Rilea was born on 9 June 1925 in Canton, Fulton Co., IL. [NEED TO DEFINE SENTENCE:Residence] She died on 17 March 2010 at the age of 84 at Country View Care Center in Macomb, IL. Violet June Petritis, 84, of Liverpool, IL passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 4:10 pm at the Countryview Care Center, Macomb, IL. She was born June 9, 1925 in Canton, IL the daughter of Orville R. and Goldie (Skillman) Rilea. She married John J. Petritis August 16, 1947 in Lewistown. He died June 9, 1988. Also preceding her in death were her parents; her sister-in-law and best friend, Helen Rilea; two brothers; Orville Allen and Melvin Glen Rilea; and two sisters. Surviving are several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews. Violet had worked at International Harvester in Canton for 18 years. She then did private duty work as a home health care provider until 1998 and also worked at the Supper Club in Liverpool. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Canton Moose Lodge. She was also an avid Bunco player. Violet was a wonderful aunt and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Monday, March 22, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home, Canton. Service will be Tuesday, March 23rd at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Liverpool Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Graham Hospital Hospice She was a Baptist. Violet was buried at Liverpool Cemetery in Liverpool, IL. She was an employee at International Harvester in Canton, Fulton Co., IL. She worked for International Harvester for 18 years.

Violet June Rilea and John Petritis were married on 16 August 1947 in Lewiston, IL. John Petritis died on 9 June 1988.
