As Lucky moved up the corporate ladder, his job required less travel, and they finally settled in Phoenix Arizona where he ran a telephone training school for Mt Bell, and raised the 3 kids there, though none were born in Phoenix. Sue's favorite place to live was Yuma. She also loved Tucson. She was very active in many organizations, and her church, "Camelback Church of Christ" she also taught many children how to play piano. She taught piano in her home up until age 82. Then she retired and moved to San Diego with her daughter, Merry Lynn Luckhardt-Johnson. Sue had a very positive outlook on life and was always cheerful and enjoyed laughter, art, travel, and music. She had many talents including painting, playing piano and accordion. She lived in Phoenix, Maricopa, AZ. Mary Sue Cummins and Burdette Stanley "Lucky" Luckhardt were married on 19 December 1945. Burdette Stanley "Lucky" Luckhardt was born on 22 May 1909 in Santa Clara Co., CA. He died on 10 March 1991 at the age of 81 in Phoenix, Maricopa, AZ.
