Mr. Monte Lee Hudson, age 75 of Whiteville died at his residence Friday, June 3, 2011. Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Ronnie Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the family cemetery. He was the son of the late Merle and Blythe Longnecker Hudson and was also preceded in death by two siblings, Donald Junior Hudson and Elaine Hudson Tarzwell. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Jean Tyler Hudson of the home; a daughter, Marcia H. Parnell of Charlotte; a son, Michael Lee Hudson of Aiken, SC; step-daughter, Wendy Turner of Whiteville; step-son, Sammy Hammond of Whiteville; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
