Albert J Skillman, 66, of RD 1 Eastbrook Harlansburg Road died the evening of June 18, 1997, in Ventcor Hospital, Moon Township.

Born in Butler on Sept. 28, 1930, he was the son of Albert E. and Gertrude Zimmerman Skillman. They preceded him in death. He was married to the former Shirley V. Riding. She survives.

Mr. Skillman had worked more than 20 years as a mechanic and self-employed utility company contractor. He was Protestant.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Terry L. Skillman of Wampum and Albert D. Skillman of New Castle; a daughter, Mrs. Rick (Debbie C) Copper of New Castle; a sister, Mrs. David (Elaine) Morrow of Orlando, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Stark.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and for one hour prior to the committal service tomorrow. Burial will follow in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
