Also living with them in the 1850 Census was Eliza Johnson, age 4. They appeared in the census in 1870. In the 1870 Census for Sigourney, IA Evan and Eliza had 3 children living with them, Allen, 26, Eliza, 17 and Sarah, 15. Evan and Eliza appeared in the census in 1880 in Sigourney, Keokuk, IA. In the 1880 Census Evan is a farmer and Allen, 38, farmer and Evan H. Jr. 32, hotel clerk, are living with them. Elizabeth Ann "Eliza" Browder, daughter of James Browder and Elizabeth Unknown, was born on 10 October 1817 in Greene Co., OH. She died on 6 February 1894 at the age of 76 in Sigourney, Keokuk, IA. She was buried at West (Pleasant Grove) Cemetery in Sigourney, Keokuk, IA.
